Compost

Why Compost ?

Unlike synthetic fertilizers, Organic Fertilizers (Compost) contains a full spectrum of plant nutrients, macro and micronutrients. In addition, Organic Fertilizers helps to buffer the soil by bringing PH level to the optimum range for nutrient availability to plants Furthermore, Organic Fertilizers makes soil less likely to erode and prevent spreading diseases. It also involves the decomposition of organic wastes by microbes by allowing the waste to stay accumulated in a pit for a long period of time. The nutrient-rich Organic Fertilizers can be used as plant manure. Biological reprocessing tremendously improves the fertility of the soil .

Here in Bioenergy, we emphasize applying all means of sustainability in waste management including the three R's rule: Reduce, Reuse, And Recycle. Composting accomplishes all three means altogether: it reduces disposed waste; the organic material is reused rather than dumped or burned and recycled into an environmentally friendly end-product. Bioenergy currently handles two main areas in Egypt, Aswan, and Shabramant. Bioenergy either collects Municipal Solid Waste (in Benysuif) or receives the waste from mediate station (in Shabramant) and prepares the material in its plants in order to produce RDF, with the byproduct of fine compost more than 3000 t/month in each .

Fruit crops, trees and ornamental plants Fruit crops, trees and ornamental plants

In the case of establishing fruit farms for the first time, flower compost is added at a rate of 15-20 kg per hollow of dimensions 75 x 75 x 75 cm. These quantities are mixed four times their volume with soil. The result of digging the hole with the addition of about ½ kg superphosphate, ¼ kg of ammonia sulfate, ¼ kg of potassium sulfate, ¼ kg of agricultural sulfur, where these quantities are mixed well with fertilizer and soil .

• Vegetable and field crop

Crops that are scattered are advised to plow the lands first, then add the organic fertilizer scattered during the period of preparing the land for planting, then planting for a load of 2-3 tons per feddan in the old land and 3-4 tons per feddan in the new land .

• Green areas

In the case of building the flat for the first time, compost is added from 15 to 20 kilos per cubic meter of sand, and then the flat is planted .
